Terms
By using Bornplace you agree to these terms. They’re short on purpose.
What we make
Bornplace reconstructs a day from public records: climate reanalysis, price statistics, music charts, encyclopedias and astronomy. We work hard to get it right, but historical data has gaps and estimates — anything marked “≈” or “estimated” is exactly that. Stories are for wonder and keepsakes, not for legal, medical or financial decisions.
Purchases
Paid items are one-time digital purchases: no subscription, nothing renews. Checkout is run by Polar (Polar Software, Inc.), our merchant of record: Polar is the seller of record for your order, handles payment and sales tax, and sends your receipt. Polar’s own terms apply to the payment.
Once paid, your day opens in the browser you paid in, and we email you an access link. The link is the key: anyone who has it can open that day, so keep it safe. A Certificate of Arrival is a printable page you can print or save as a PDF. Refunds follow our refund policy; a refunded purchase stops opening.
Gifts
When you send a gift, you confirm you’re allowed to share the recipient’s details with us for delivery. Emailed gifts go out on the morning (UTC) of the day you choose, or right away; you also get your own copy of the link. If you chose to give it yourself, we only email you.
Fair use
Please don’t scrape the site, overload it, or resell its content. Third-party material (song titles, encyclopedia text, NASA images) belongs to its owners and is credited where shown.
