know.

Where do birth flowers come from?

Matching flowers to months goes back centuries; the version used today grew out of the Victorian language of flowers, in which each flower carried a message. Each month’s flower is usually one that blooms around then.

Why do most months have two birth flowers?

British and American traditions picked different flowers for some months, and both stuck, so florists usually list two.

What is the birth flower for November?

The chrysanthemum, for joy, friendship and a long life.
